City Shopmobility offers manual wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs and mobility scooters for daily hire. Manual wheelchairs can also be hired through their 'Extended Hire' scheme if you require a wheelchair for more than one day

The daily hire charges are as follows:

£3.00p for non-members
£2.00p for members
£5.00p for annual membership (payable every January)
£10.00p for annual Wessex membership

Extended hire for manual wheelchairs

£15.00p per week
£25.00p per 2 weeks

A £25.00p refundable deposit is required for extended hire and certain other conditions also apply.

Opening hours for City Shopmobility are:

Monday - Friday: 09:30am until 4:30pm

'Shopping Companions' are also available, in particular for those with a visual impairment. Although there is no charge for a companion to help with shopping you will need to phone in advance

City Shopmobility are currently looking for volunteers to help with the day-to-day running of the service. Volunteers are vital to City Shopmobility and they would find it almost impossible to operate without them so if you have a few spare hours each month you would be very welome. Just call their telephone number above and ask for Sarah or Sue





WestQuay Shopmobility

The WestQuay Shopmobility service is located on level 2 of the Podium car park at the WestQuay Shopping Centre

Extended hire is not currently available at WestQuay Shopmobility service

Tuesday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
Wednesday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
Thursday: 9:00am - 8:00pm
Friday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
Sunday: 11:00am - 5:00pm


To avoid disappointment it is recommended that you contact either Shopmobility service and book a chair or scooter in advance of your visit. Free parking is available to Shopmobility customers although parking is limited at City Shopmobility in Castle Way
